<subfield code="a">Resumen: La venta de bulas de Cruzada fue un mecanismo utilizado por la Monarqu�a Cat�lica para financiar las guerras que mantuvo contra los musulmanes y los turcos desde los �ltimos tiempos medievales y durante toda la Modernidad. La producci�n de estas indulgencias en la imprenta de San Pedro M�rtir de Toledo afianz� a este convento mendicante como una de las instituciones m�s prestigiosas de los reinos hisp�nicos no s�lo por los enormes beneficios econ�micos que el negocio report� a la comunidad, sino tambi�n porque otorg� a los frailes un destacado papel en el mundo de la cultura escrita. Abstract: The sale of bulls of the Crusade was a mechanism used by the Catolic Monarchy to finance the wars against Muslims and Turks from the late medieval times to the modern period. The printing of these indulgences at the press of Saint Peter the Martyr in Toledo strengthened this mendicant convent as one of the most prestigious institutions in the Hispanic kingdoms, not only due to the enormous economic benefits that this business gave to the community, but also because it granted the friars a leading role in the realm of written culture.</subfield>
