Abstract: The female monasteries influenced significantly in the passage and in the face of urban environments of the kingdom of Cordova. The presence of members of the nobility and the local oligarchy in the origin of these cloisters, justifies the large size of some closures, the peculiarity of their space or as artistic and typological tendencies of its buildings. These aspects are an interesting chapter of modern history of the city of Cordoba, as well as some populations belonging to different domains that made this territorial jurisdiction of the Crown of Castile.
